Huntingdale Golf Club which holds the Australian Masters Golf Event each year, called on Otter Fencing's expertise to design and install a high quality and durable Security Fence to restrict intruders and provide pleasing aesthetics for the environment.
The scope of the job was to up-grade the entire perimeter security fencing of 1.8km. The Chain-Link fence installed was a 2400mm high, Plain Top, Top Rail fence which utilised 3.15mm Heavy Duty, Black P.V.C. coated Chain Link fabric, with all posts being 60.3mm OD and top rails 48.3mm OD with all pipe work powder coated black to match the Chain-Link fabric.
The completed project sets the benchmark for Golf Course Fencing in terms of long-term durability, combined with its ability to harmonize with the residential surroundings whilst providing optimum security for the Golf Course.

Numerous projects have been undertaken with various city councils to install sports ground fencing including; oval fencing, hockey and soccer pitch fencing and baseball and softball back net fencing.
Otter Fencing has successfully completed many contracts with quality installations of sports ground fencing throughout various council parks and gardens over the years. Otter Fencing was awarded the contract to Supply and Install over 18km of 1800mm high Galvanized, Rail-less, Plain Top, and Security Fencing to various stages of the Regional Fast Train Project, which complied with the Vic Roads Standards for Chain-Link fencing.
This work also required all Fencing personnel to undertake the Level 1 Track Awareness induction training and work strictly within Railway Safety Standards.
Otter Fencing has the capacity to successfully undertake any size project and deliver on time and comply with contractual obligations.
Otter Fencing has been involved since the inception of the International Flower Show to install Special Event Temporary Fencing on an annual basis. Otter fencing successfully works within a strict time frame of 3 days to install over 1km of 1800mm high temporary fencing and gates to secure the perimeter of the Carlton Gardens, which surround the historical Royal Exhibition Building.
Upon completion of the event we carefully remove all the temporary fencing and gates within a 2 day time frame to minimise the disruption to the public park, to the complete satisfaction of the client.
Otter Fencing took on the challenge with a difficult application to supply and install over 300 lineal metres of a 1000mm high Safety Fence complete with top and bottom rails, clad with galvanized Chain-Link fabric and situated on the face of the top of a 12 metre high curved retaining wall, completely installed from a boom lift scaffold.
This project was successfully installed on time to the complete satisfaction of Probuild Constructions.
There are many applications for installation of High Screen Sports Fencing, which are generally designed to retain balls within a designated playing area, and also to restrict any errant balls from creating a safety hazard for the public, or adjoining private property. With this type of application it is highly recommended to obtain a certified engineer's design, for the proposed structural frame-work, together with foundation design to suit existing soil conditions, the final design depends entirely on the overall height required and potential wind loading that the screen may be exposed to. If required, smaller aperture Chain Link Fabric such as 32mm and 40mm pitch is also available for Golf Screen Fencing.
The 9000mm high Sports Screen Fencing illustrated in the image (left) was installed by Otter Fencing to an engineer's design, for the City of Yarra at Kevin Bartlett Sporting and Recreation Complex at Burnley in consultation with the City Link Authority for a Sports Ground Screen Fence to prevent soccer balls going onto the South Eastern Freeway.
Otter Fencing can design and Supply and Install Sporting Enclosures for Batting Practice, which can be individually tailored to size to suit each sporting clubs requirements and comply with Australian Standards. These types of enclosures are usually designed with a hip roof area to ensure balls will roll off and also discourage persons potentially causing damage by walking on roof area. Otter Fencing has successfully completed many contracts with quality installations of sporting enclosures fencing throughout the various councils, sporting clubs and schools over the years.
